One day only! Dance for Healing with Joanna Watsch December 5th 1:00-5:00pm (In-person only)
Info: Dance and movement can be instrumental in healing trauma, grief, chronic stress, and other challenges. The body holds and remembers the difficult things we’ve faced and movement helps to set those feelings free. Dance as an expressive art form can give a shape and voice to what we think and feel. In combination, these are powerful tools for healing the places in us that are hurt. Joanna will use her education and experience as a professional social worker and training in dance therapy to guide you through an interactive, exploratory workshop that will give you an opportunity to learn and practice exercises and techniques that can help you on your healing journey.
Bring to class: Students should bring: a journal or notebook, colored pencils or crayons (optional), comfortable clothes that are easy to move in, and an open mind.
